Lemon City Live 2025 Heisman Watchlist | Week 11

Miami, Florida – The latest weekend of college games saw some upsets in an otherwise stable series of matchups, modifying the Lemon City Live Heisman Watchlist. Besides witnessing SMU’s upset win over No.10 Miami, ninth-ranked Vanderbilt lost to No. 20 Texas, and NC State shocked eighth-ranked Georgia Tech. There was little else in terms of chaos, with stability largely reigning supreme for the second consecutive week. The Heisman race not only saw a shuffling of players but also a new face.

Trinidad Chambliss found himself knocked off in favor of Diego Pavia. The Vandy QB’s heroics surpassed Haynes King’s efforts against NC State. Those on bye week managed to stay on, albeit bumped down a level. There are four weeks left of the season, with the list of hopefuls contracting more and more. For many, their hopes ended last Saturday. For others, the sprint to the finish line has begun.

Julian Sayin

Previous Ranking: 4

Julian “Super” Sayin has climbed his way to the top following an impressive performance versus Penn State. Throwing for 316 yards and four touchdowns, Sayin led Ohio State to a 38-14 victory as they remain undefeated at 8-0. He has sat atop some lists for a couple of weeks now, and given what’s left of the year, I have a hard time seeing him getting knocked off. It isn’t impossible, maybe at the season finale against Michigan.

Marcel Reed

Previous Ranking: 1

Texas A&M was on a bye week after beating then No. 20 LSU and will now face No. 19 Missouri on the road. Marcel Reed fell from the number one slot through no fault of his own and will look to reclaim the position. Reed has racked up 1,972 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and six interceptions, complemented by six rushing TDs.

Ty Simpson

Previous Ranking: 2

Alabama was also off. Ty Simpson is more than capable of recapturing the lead with the opportunity coming versus LSU. He’ll be facing a former Heisman hopeful: Garrett Nussmeier, who regressed significantly this season. Simpson is near perfect in his performance, recording 2,184 yards, 20 TDs, and one pick.

Fernando Mendoza

Previous Ranking: 3

Tasked with defeating a weak opponent in Maryland, Fernando Mendoza put up meh numbers. Sure, Indiana won handily, 55-10, and the coaching staff leaned more towards the rush, but the problem was the output his peers were producing. It’s hard to ignore, even when the others faced similarly easy opponents. Penn State awaits.

Diego Pavia

Previous Ranking: NR

For his actions in rallying the Commodores during the fourth quarter, Diego Pavia has broken into the top five. Vanderbilt’s comeback was painfully short, losing 34-31 to No. 20 Texas in what was a fantastic duel against Arch Manning. Pavia totaled 365 yards, three TDs, and another rushing score. He did fumble and was sacked six times. Vanderbilt will host Auburn as Diego seeks to win the Heisman Trophy.
