Heat Sign Lester Quiñones

MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have signed guard Lester Quiñones. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Quiñones, who was named to the All-NBA G League First Team and selected to the NBA G League Next Up Game, appeared in 36 regular season G League games (35 starts) last season with the Osceola Magic and averaged a team-leading 23.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 32.0 minutes while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from three-point range and 84.1 percent from the foul line. He led the team in points, field goals made, three-point field goals made, free throws made and plus/minus and recorded 27 20-point games, including four 30-point performances. His returning rights were acquired by the HEAT’s G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, in a four-team trade on September 26.

Quiñones has appeared in 99 career regular season G League games (98 starts) and averaged 22.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.11 steals and 33.2 minutes while shooting 45.3 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from three-point range and 77.4 percent from the foul line over four seasons with Osceola, Laketown and Santa Cruz. He has also appeared in 54 career NBA games over three seasons with New Orleans, Philadelphia and Golden State averaging 4.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.0 minutes of action.
