ATLANTA, GA –Β Tua Tagovailoa woke up Sunday morning with a swollen left eye. Despite the illness, he managed to play while rocking a new look on the field. Tagovailoa played with a helmet visor, and his teammates certainly liked the look in what was his best performance of the season. Will Tua Tagovailoa keep the visor look after throwing four touchdown passes in the Dolphins’ 34-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons?
Highly Productive Outing for Tagovailoa
The last time Tagovailoa stepped into Mercedes-Benz Stadium, he won a national championship with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Going back to the venue where he won a title certainly brought back joyful memories for him.

He ended up getting pulled in the 4th quarter for the second consecutive week, but this time for good reason. Tagovailoa completed 20 of 26 pass attempts (76.9%) for 205 yards. That, plus the four successful red zone attempts, resulted in a 138.6 passer rating for him.
Tagovailoa was a big part of the Dolphins’ offense, which accumulated 338 yards. After back-to-back weeks of three-interception games, this is certainly the game he needed to carry momentum over into the rest of the season.
Ground Game Gets Heavy Play Calling
Miami had been relying heavily on the passing game recently, with Mike McDaniel facing criticism for that approach.
The Fins ran the ball 37 times as opposed to passing the ball just 26 times. They totaled 141 rushing yards with several players getting their share on the ground.
De’Von Achane had 18 carries for 67 yards, Ollie Gordon II had 10 carries for 46 yards, and Jaylen Wright had 9 rushing attempts for 28 yards.

Defense Comes Up Big
The Miami Dolphins didn’t allow a touchdown until the 5:01 mark in the 4th quarter. They were allowing 363.1 yards per game and ended up allowing the Falcons to gain just 213 of them.
Atlanta may not have had Michael Penix Jr. in the backfield or their top receiver in Drake London, but they still had one of the NFL’s top running backs on the field.

Bijan Robsinson was stopped on the ground, having just 25 rushing yards on nine carries. He lost a fumble inside Miami’s 20-yard line in the third quarter.
Bringing Momentum Against Ravens
These are the main key points the Fins will have to bring against the Ravens. Baltimore has been struggling to everyone’s surprise with a 2-5 record, but they can’t be overlooked.
They must be able to translate Sunday’s win over to Thursday in a short week against a team that has players who can dominate at any moment.
For the Dolphins to salvage its season, they will have to play more complete games in the same fashion they did against the Falcons.
