Coral Gables, FL – Since being named as Miami Hurricanes Men’s Basketball head coach on March 6th, Jai Lucas has been on the move recruiting players. Here are the 2025 spring transfers so far for UM Men’s Basketball.
Malik Reneau
Reneau is a 6’9, 232-pound power forward from Miami, FL. In three seasons at the University of Indiana, he averaged 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting 56% from the floor.
He’s a four-star recruit who’s a two-time All-Big Ten Team Honorable Mention nominee.

“We are very excited that Malik is coming back home to Miami to finish his college career at The U,” Lucas said. “Malik is someone who has played in and won big games for a big-time blueblood program these last three years. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Miami basketball program.”
Ernest Udeh Jr.
Udeh Jr. is a 6’11, 260-pound center from Orlando, FL. He averaged 5.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while starting in all 59 games at TCU for the past two seasons.
The four-star recruit is dominant in the paint, with 70% (77-of-110) of his field goals last season being dunks.

“Ernest not only has a significant presence and physicality on the court, but also a personality that is really important for us as we start to build a culture here at Miami,” Lucas said. “Ernest is a culture driver who will be an extension of the coaching staff on the court. As a player, he is one of the best rebounders in the country and has the ability to be one of the nation’s elite defenders, as well, so we are excited to have him be a part of the program.”
Tre Donaldson
Donaldson is a 6’3, 195-pound guard from Tallahassee, FL. He started in all 37 games for the University of Michigan this past season, averaging 11.3 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game.
The four-star recruit helped them win the Big Ten Tournament and reach the Sweet Sixteen this past season.

“Tre brings a wealth of postseason experience to our team, having played in multiple NCAA Tournaments and winning the Big Ten Tournament title this year at Michigan,” Lucas said. “He has been in high-pressure moments and has the experience that is needed at the guard position to help us win big games. Tre is a bully and a bruiser when he is in the paint but also has the agility and shooting to play on the perimeter. We are very excited to welcome him to the team.”
Dante Allen
Allen is a 6’4, 220-pound combo guard from Miami, FL. After transferring to Montverde Academy for his senior season, he averaged 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
He’s a four-star recruit who earned Nike EYBL Scholastic Third Team All-Conference honors.

“Dante is someone I have had the opportunity to watch a lot over the last three years while out recruiting and he is a player I have always wanted the chance to coach,” Lucas said. “He is an extremely versatile and powerful playmaker who can get the basket and affect the game with his passing ability. Dante comes from a strong basketball pedigree, and we are very excited that he is staying home and joining the Miami family.”
Shelton Henderson
Henderson is a 6’6, 220-pound small forward who recently decommitted from Duke. He averaged 22.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, four assists, and three steals per game as a senior at Bellair High School in Texas.
The five-star recruit was named the All-Greater Houston Player of the Year and won the Guy V. Lewis award.

“Shelton is someone I have known for a long time, and I am very familiar with him and his family,” Lucas said. “He has an exceptional work ethic and fearlessness on the court, but what I am most excited about is the impact he will have in our locker room and on the program as a whole.”
Marcus Allen
Allen is a 6’7, 220-pound guard/forward. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in his 26 games as a freshman at the University of Missouri.
In 2024, he earned Joe DiMaggio South Florida High School Player of the Year honors.

“Being a local Miami product, we are very excited to bring Marcus back home to The U,” Lucas said. “He is an extremely tough basketball player, both mentally and physically, and will be a strong presence on defense. Having played for Coach CY at Missouri, we know he will seamlessly make the transition into our program.”
Jordyn Kee
Kee is a 6’3, 185-pound guard who spent the past season at the University of Georgia as a redshirted freshman. As a senior at Sagemont Preparatory School, he averaged 11.2 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.
He was named second-team All-Broward by the Sun Sentinel after winning a Florida Class 2A state championship.
