MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have traded Haywood Highsmith and a 2032 second round pick to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for a protected 2026 second round pick.
Highsmith, who was originally signed by the HEAT in 2021, spent four seasons in Miami, making the postseason each time. He appeared in 74 games (42 starts) last season and averaged 6.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 24.6 minutes while shooting 45.8 percent from the field.
