FIU Men’s Basketball has announced its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, which features eight home games and three away games.

Most of these teams are opponents that FIU has never played against on the court.
Florida National – Home
FIU and FNU will clash once again in the season opener on November 3rd.
Last year, the Panthers and Conquistadors kicked off the season against each other at The Bank. FIU won decisively 110-55.
Nebraska – Away
FIU will travel to the Cornhusker State for the first time to face Nebraska on November 8th.
The Cornhuskers finished the 2024-25 season with a whopping 21-14 record, winning both the Diamond Head Classic and College Basketball Crown tournaments.

LSU – Away
The first meeting between Florida International and Louisiana State is scheduled for November 13th.
Last season, the Tigers finished with a 14-18 record and were eliminated by Mississippi State in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.
Atlantis – Home
Miami’s own Atlantis University will face the Panthers on November 18th for their first-ever matchup. The Owls finished with a 12-17 record last season in the USCAA.
James Madison – MTE Home
The first of their two Multiple-Team Events games will be held on November 24th against JMU. FIU has lost its two contests all-time against the Dukes.
They last played each other on December 16, 2017, where the Panthers lost 76-67 at home.
Omaha – MTE Home
FIU and Omaha will play each other on November 26th as part of the Multiple-Team Events. This will be the first meeting between the Panthers and Mavericks.
They posted an impressive 22-13 record last season, becoming the Summit League Tournament champions.
Florida Gulf Coast – Home
FIU faces its cross-state foes from Fort Myers on December 3rd. All-time, the Panthers have a 7-8 record against the Aggies.
Last year, the Panthers lost 60-59 in the Alico Arena at the Homewood Suites Classic. FIU has lost the past three meetings against FGCU, having not beaten them since December 1, 2021, at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
Jacksonville – Home
Florida International University and Jacksonville University will meet for the first time on December 6th.
The Dolphins posted a 19-14 record, losing in the semifinals of the ASUN Tournament and in the quarterfinals of the CBI.
Miami – Away
As previously announced, the Panthers will face the Hurricanes at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables on December 16th.

In their 13 matchups, FIU has only beaten UM once, which was on December 1, 1992, at the Miami Arena by the score of 72-64.
Long Island – Home
LIU will make the trip to The Bank on December 20th. The Panthers have a 3-1 head-to-head record against the Sharks.
They last played each other on December 2, 2023, in Miami, with FIU taking the victory 74-59.
Trinity Baptist – Home
For the second time, FIU and Trinity Baptist College will play against each other on December 22nd.
The Panthers beat the Eagles 71-39 in a season opener game on November 13, 2015. Trinity Baptist will once again make the trek from Jacksonville.
