Miami, Florida – Miami’s Cam Ward and Florida’s DJ Lagway are using the NIL to raise funds to assist those affected by Hurricane Milton. In the wake of the deadly storm, the two college quarterbacks released limited edition trading cards with the proceeds helping those impacted. Milton made landfall as a category three hurricane Wednesday night slamming into the area near Siesta Key in Sarasota County, Florida making it one of the worst hurricanes to land on the west coast of the state in years. It moved further inland impacting residents in central Florida and beyond with a dozen deaths already reported.

The special “Hurricane Milton Relief” edition trading cards through Leaf Trading Cards are priced at $9.99 and will be available until October 17. Ward is in his first season with the Miami Hurricanes after transferring from Washington State. The veteran signal-caller is among the best in the country and a part of the Heisman Trophy conversation. Cam has thrown over 2,200 yards and 20 touchdowns for the 2024 season. Lagway, meanwhile, is a five-star recruit in the 2024 signing class for the Florida Gators throwing for 667 yards and 4 TDs during his rookie season.
