‘Tis the Season for Corey Stephenson
Corey Stephenson had a season that every FIU Men’s Basketball fan will remember. He’s the first FIU player and 11th Conference USA player to be selected to play in this event.
His 18.0 ppg are the fifth-most in program history, and he also averaged 6.4 rebounds per game. Stephenson shot over 45% from the field and nearly 40% from three-point range.
The most notable achievements for him this season were being named to the All-Conference USA Second Team and 2025-26 HoopsHD.com All-Conference USA honors.
Stephenson was also named Conference USA Player of the Week on December 8 and was recognized with 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District honors.

The 39.8 3PT% he posted this season was the second-highest percentage in FIU history. He demonstrated his reliability on the court, scoring a double-double in all but one game during the season.
In a road overtime win against Middle Tennessee (February 4), Stephenson scored the final 10 points of a 34-point night. Those were the second-most points in a road game in program history and his 13 made field goals were also tied for the second-most.
His last game as a Panther featured him scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 defensive rebounds in the Conference USA Tournament against Missouri State (March 10).
