Another Matchday is in the books, which means it’s time for our latest Lemon City Live MLS Power Rankings!
These rankings are based on the teams’ overall performance, recent form, impact of key players, and the insights and opinions of our staff here at Lemon City Live. With 22 Matchdays complete, let’s dive into our top 10!
1. Inter Miami CF
Prior Ranking: 1
Another week, another victory without their two MVPs in attack. The Herons are on a roll. Jordi Alba’s 20-yard missile secured the game-winner, while Sergio Busquets thrives in midfield like fine wine. In defense, Ian Fray scored in consecutive games since returning from injury. Further proof? Messi, Suarez, Alba, and Busquets have all been named MLS All-Stars.

2. LAFC
Prior Ranking: 2
LAFC is dominating right now. After a surprisingly slow start to the season, the Black and Gold haven’t lost a match in nearly two months, with their last defeat coming at the hands of the San Jose Earthquakes on May 4th. LAFC continues to shine on offense, highlighted by Mateusz Bogusz’s hat trick in their recent win over the Rapids in LA. Up next? El Trafico on July 4th at the Rose Bowl.
'Hati' Bogusz 🎩
Can't pick just one, Mateusz Bogusz gave us three thrills in yesterday's match.

3. LA Galaxy
Prior Ranking: 3
The LA Galaxy has been on fire since the start of the season, currently tied at the top of the Western Conference standings with in-city rival LAFC. They’re gearing up for an absolutely MASSIVE El Trafico this Thursday, coming off a commanding 3-0 win in San Jose last matchday. With everything on the line, expect plenty of fireworks this 4th of July.
4. Real Salt Lake
Prior Ranking: 4
RSL enjoyed a well-deserved bye week. Hopefully, Chicho Arango has used this time off to recuperate after his tough collision during the loss against the Galaxy the previous week.
5. Columbus Crew
Prior Ranking: 5
The Crew continue to dominate defenses since their loss to Miami a couple of weeks ago, scoring nine goals in their last two games while conceding only one. Despite this, the defending champs hold steady at number five in our rankings. The rest of the league is on notice and wary of their formidable form.

6. FC Cincinnati
Prior Ranking: 6
A solid bounce-back win for Cincy as they traveled to Dallas and secured an impressive road shutout. Last season’s Supporters Shield winners have been somewhat subdued this season, but they currently sit comfortably in second place in the East, just a couple points behind Miami.
7. New York Red Bulls
Prior Ranking: 7
The Red Bulls settled for their third draw in the last four games despite having a man advantage against D.C. United for most of the match. It wasn’t their best performance against one of the bottom teams in the East.
8. Portland Timbers
Prior Ranking: 10
Three straight wins! Unbeaten in their last seven games! Is this real life? Can you believe it’s a Phil Neville-led team? The Timbers were down 2-0 and then reeled off three unanswered goals, with the winner coming in extra time. Wins like this are propelling them up to number 8 in our rankings!

9. Charlotte FC
Prior Ranking: 8
Our first and only drop in the rankings this week goes to Charlotte. After a solid run of form and a win against Philly last week, Charlotte stumbled in Houston, falling 1-0 to a suddenly rising Dynamo squad.
10. Houston Dynamo
Prior Ranking: unranked
Houston, we have lift-off! Ascending to number ten in our rankings this week, the Dynamo are aiming to break the cycle of teams in the bottom half of our rankings. Their next challenge? A tough trip to Salt Lake City.
We say goodbye …
The Colorado Rapids. Getting waxed by LAFC will definitely help you get booted from our rankings.
