FIU Baseball Reveals 2025 Regular Season Schedule

MIAMI, FL – On Monday, FIU released the 2025 baseball schedule. Opening Day is set for Friday, February 14th at 6:30pm against Stonehill, which will kick off a four-game set.

Friday-Monday (Feb 14-16): Stonehill

Last season, Stonehill posted an 18-29 record, going 13-17 in conference play. This will be the first time that both teams will face off in baseball.

Bethune-Cookman

Last season, FIU split the series against Bethune-Cookman. They lost in Daytona by a final score of 10-4, but defeated them at home by a final score of 5-1. FIU holds a 21-10 record against their in-state rivals.

The first game will take place on Wednesday, February 19th in Daytona at 6pm. FIU will welcome the Wildcats on Tuesday, March 25th for a 6pm first pitch.

Friday-Sunday (Feb 21-23): Delaware

FIU will take on future Conference USA opponent the Delaware Blue Hens who went 31-26 with a 16-11 conference record in 2024. This will mark the first matchup in program history between these two teams, but it won’t be the last.

February 25 (Wed): @ South Florida

The last time these in-state rivals squared off was in 2022 when the Bulls won by a final score of 14-9. The last FIU win against these Bulls was in April of 2016. FIU holds the all-time series 6-4, but the Panthers will avoid making it three straight losses against USF.

February 28 – March 2: Merrimack

FIU will take on a second NEC member in the Merrimack Warriors who posted a 33-26 overall record and a 22-11 conference record. This will mark the first time these two programs will face off against each other.

Miami Hurricanes – Four-game set

The yearly battle between FIU and the Miami Hurricanes will continue in 2025. The first game between these two teams will be a home game for the Panthers on March 4 with the time yet to be determined.

It isn’t until April 2 that these teams will face off against each other in Coral Gables at 6pm. The Hurricanes will make their way into enemy territory on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6pm. The final game between these two clubs will be on Wednesday, May 7 at 6pm in Coral Gables.

FIU defeated the Hurricanes once in 2024 but lost the season series 3-1. The Panthers win was by a final score of 9-7 in Coral Gables.

Florida Atlantic (March 7-9)

When the Panthers took on the Owls in 2024, there were certainly some close games, but then some games that were blowouts. FIU ended up splitting the season series against Florida Atlantic, 2-2. They won both home games against the Owls but fell to them on the road.

FIU will take on FAU in a three-game set beginning on Friday at FIU Baseball Stadium, then going to Boca Raton on Saturday and coming back to Miami on Sunday. FIU will travel once more to Boca Raton on Tuesday, April 29 for a 6:00pm first pitch.

Florida Gulf Coast

The in-state games continue as FIU will take on the Eagles of Fort Meyers. The first game between these two teams will take place on Tuesday, March 11 at 6:00 pm in Miami.

FGCU will welcome the Panthers to their stadium twice this season on Tuesday, April 8 and 15 for 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm first pitch.

The Eagles currently hold the all-time series with a 15-10 record. FIU does have a two-game winning streak over FGCU, winning in walk-off fashion in their last game.

Bucknell Bison (Thu-Sun, Feb 13-16)

Once again, these are two teams that have never faced each other. The Bison posted a 22-24 overall record with a 12-13 conference record this past season.

The Conference USA Tournament will be in Lynchburg, Virginia – May 21-25 (Wednesday-Sunday)
