Miami Dolphins 2025 Schedule

The Miami Dolphins’ 2025 NFL schedule is now OFFICIALLY known. There have been official and unofficial leaks of certain games earlier, all 17 games are now confirmed.

At first glance, the schedule seems favorable. Based on last year’s combined win percentage, the Fins are tied for the 21st toughest schedule in the NFL. There are no three-game road trips, and their bye week is later on in Week 12. The most surprising aspect of the schedule might be that there are five primetime games, along with the Sunday morning game in Madrid.

There are interesting storylines with the Dolphins that can justify a few primetime games, but five is surprising. Of course, they need quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to stay healthy and the offensive line, which features new names like James Daniels and Jonah Savaiinaea, to lock down the trenches.

On defense, Miami needs rookie Kenneth Grant to join Zach Sieler as the dominant forces of the defense. The secondary might raise the biggest question marks on the whole team.

More than anything, Head Coach Mike McDaniel and General Manager Chris Grier did not reach the playoffs last season despite two straight appearances in 2022 and 2023. There will be added pressure to not only make the postseason but also win the first playoff game for the Dolphins since 2000.

WEEK ONE – @ INDIANPOLIS COLTS – 9/7 @ 1pm

Miami will begin its 2025 campaign on the road against the Colts. Indy is still trying to figure out if Anthony Richardson can be the quarterback to lead them to the postseason. They brought in Daniel Jones to provide some QB competition. Whoever earns the nod will have a new weapon in Penn State tight end Tyler Warren.

WEEK TWO – VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS – 9/14 @ 1pm

The home opener for the Miami Dolphins’ 2025 schedule will be against Drake Maye and the New England Patriots. The Pats are still trying to find an identity at the head coach position since Bill Belichick left in 2023. They struck out with Jerod Mayo last season. Now, they’re rolling with former Tennessee coach Mike Vrabel to weather the storm in the northeast.

After finishing 4-13 last season, they’ve made some key moves, such as signing wide receiver Stefon Diggs and having one of the best overall draft grades in the NFL.

WEEK THREE – @ BUFFALO BILLS – 9/18 @ 8:15pm (TNF)

The first primetime game of the season for Miami will be against the Buffalo Bills. This’ll be the final game the Fins will play at Highmark Stadium before the Bills move to their new digs in 2026. The last time Miami won in that stadium was in 2016, so they’ll look to get out of West New York on a high note.

Buffalo has been the perennial champion of the AFC East for a while now. Josh Allen will look to record another MVP-caliber season, but there’s a big problem with the Bills. After all these years, they still haven’t been able to beat Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City in the playoffs – their biggest hurdle to reach the Super Bowl annually. Will this be the year they pull it off?

WEEK FOUR – VS NEW YORK JETS – 9/29 @ 7:15pm (MNF)

In comes the New York Jets for the second-straight primetime game of the season. After what can be easily identified as a DISASTER era for the Jets with Aaron Rodgers at QB, they’ve moved on in both their quarterback and head coach.

The keys to the Jets now belong to Aaron Glenn, the former defensive coordinator of Detroit. They’re banking on Justin Fields to turn their offense around from the disastrous numbers they put up in 2024. Ironically, they’ll open up their season against his former team, Pittsburgh.

WEEK FIVE – @ CAROLINA PANTHERS – 10/5 @ 1pm

The Carolina Panthers have been one of the bottom feeders of the NFL for a while. They’ll hope to turn things around with the continued growth of Bryce Young. His success at the latter end of last season has given the city of Charlotte hope, something they haven’t had for a while. Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle could prove to be a dangerous running back duo.

WEEK SIX – VS LOS ANGELES CHARGERS – 10/12 @ 1pm

Los Angeles will have to fly across the country to take on the Dolphins. The naysayers believe that Justin Herbert can’t lead the Chargers to the promised land, but both he and head coach Jim Harbaugh want to prove the doubters wrong. With their first-round draft pick being UNC running back Omarion Hampton, expect a revitalization in their running game.

WEEK SEVEN – @ CLEVELAND BROWNS – 10/19 @ 1pm

If a team has a QB problem, chances are that they don’t have enough quality quarterbacks. The Browns have the OPPOSITE problem. With both Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett being veteran playmakers, they also drafted Dillon Gabriel (Oregon) and Shadeur Sanders (Colorado), who fell to them in the fifth round.

WEEK EIGHT – @ ATLANTA FALCONS – 10/26 @ 1pm

2017 was the last time Atlanta made the postseason. What’s working for them this year is their strength of schedule, regarded as the fourth easiest in the NFL. Michael Penix Jr flashed moments of potential for the Falcons, and he’ll have a host of returning weapons to use. RB Bijan Robinson and TW Kyle Pitts, we’ll see if their defense can match the potential of the offense.

WEEK NINE – VS BALTIMORE RAVENS – 10/30 @ 8:15pm (TNF)

This game might be one of the biggest tests of the regular season for Miami. At home under the lights, they’ll invite one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Led by QB Lamar Jackson and RB Derrick Henry, the Ravens have added DeAndre Hopkins to help out one of the scariest offenses in football. If Miami is playoff worthy, how they do here will be a good confirmation.

WEEK TEN – VS BUFFALO BILLS – 11/9 @ 1pm

Do you reckon it will be hot in Miami during the month of November?

WEEK ELEVEN – VS WASHINGTON COMMANDERS – 11/16 @ 9:30am (MADRID)

Ah, yes, a “home” game for the Dolphins in Spain. They’ll “host” the Washington Commanders, who lost to Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game. They’ll play at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home of Real Madrid. After seeing what rookie QB Jayden Daniels was able to do last season, the expectations for Washington are through the roof in 2025.

WEEK TWELVE – BYE WEEK

The lone bye week in the Miami Dolphins’ 2025 schedule. Some much-needed R&R for Miami after an International game.

WEEK THIRTEEN – VS NEW ORLEANS SAINTS – 11/30

Another team with a brand-new coach, the Saints will be led by Kellen Moore, the former offensive coordinator of Philadelphia. They’re having to quickly deal with the announcement that Derek Carr has retired from football. As a result, their QB room includes Spencer Rattler, Tyler Shough, and Jake Haener. This could be considered one of the worst QB rooms in the NFL.

WEEK FOURTEEN – @ NEW YORK JETS – 12/7 @ 1pm

It might get cold up in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

WEEK FIFTEEN – @ PITTSBURGH STEELERS – 12/15 @ 8:15pm (MNF)

How good the population thinks the Pittsburgh Steelers will be hinges on one important thing – who’s their quarterback? The rumors of Aaron Rodgers signing with them are rampant, but nothing has been determined. It looked like they had a dangerous receiver duo in George Pickens and DK Metcalf, but they sent Pickens to Dallas not that long ago. Back to the drawing board.

WEEK SIXTEEN – @ CINCINNATI BENGALS – 12/21 @ 8:20pm (SNF)

The second back-to-back stretch of the season with primetime games, Miami will head to Cincinnati. Since losing to the Rams in Super Bowl LVI, Joe Burrow and the Bengals have been trying to climb back. They have their QB, but the offensive line and defense have been what’s held them back. Contract negotiations with defensive end Trey Henderson have not helped with this.

WEEK SEVENTEEN – VS TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS – 12/28 @ 1pm

After opening presents under the Christmas tree, the Dolphins will host Tampa Bay in their final home game of the regular season. The Bucs won the NFC South once again in 2024 with a 10-7 record, but were bounced in the Wild Card by Washington. Baker Mayfield has proven he has what it takes to be an elite quarterback who can lead Tampa over a weak division.

WEEK EIGHTEEN – @ NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS – 1/4 (Time TBA)

The Miami Dolphins’ 2025 schedule ends here. What is it with Miami and having to go to the northeast to close out their regular seasons every year?
