Hopefully you haven’t started your fantasy season 0-2 and if so, we’re here to help you get back on track. Grab your coolers and get ready for the cold hard Lemonsider Fantasy Facts on setting up your lineups for Week 3. (We’re always going to avoid obvious starts like Tom Brady and Antonio Brown but if we feel like a high profile player is going to be a bust, we will NOT hold back and let you know whats up!)
Quarterbacks
Start: Jay Cutler @ NYJ
Yessir, Jay freaking Cutler. Guys, it’s simple, anyone going against the New York Jets defense should be in consideration to start if your current starting QB doesn’t have a favorable matchup. Not much science to it. Cutler is a safe play who I expect to give you at least 15 fantasy points this week. Light up the Smokin Jay cigs this week & plug him in if needed.
Cutty Cigs
Bust Alert: Marcus Mariota vs SEA
This hurts to admit as Mariota is my QB in 3 of my 4 leagues, but this weeks matchup excites me less than the Cash Me Ousside girl’s (Bhad Bhabie) new album. I knew coming in to the season it was going to be a rough opening slate but it got worse with Corey Davis’ injury issues and Eric Decker looking sluggish. Seattle is Seattle and I’m actively searching to find better matchups on the waiver wire for QB and you should too.

Sleepers: DeShone Kizer @ IND and Carson Palmer vs. DAL
Running Backs
Start: Theo Riddick vs ATL
I’m not saying to start Theo over guys like Hunt or Zeke but if you’re in a pinch or in deeper leagues, I like Riddick’s matchup this week. Falcons front 7 is great BUT last year and so far this year, they have struggled mightily against pass catching backs. They’ve given up big games to Tarik Cohen and Ty Montgomery and in a game where Lions will be throwing often, Riddick could be a sneaky play here.
Bust Alert: Leonard Fournette vs BAL
In case you haven’t noticed, the Ravens D is nasty. They have not allowed a 100 yard rusher all season. I can completely see the Ravens bottling up Fournette forcing Blake Bortles to throw which is never a good thing. He’s going to get volume but don’t see him doing much with it to be honest.
Through two games, the Ravens defense has 8 sacks, 7 interceptions and just 1 TD allowed. Next opponent: Blake Bortles and the Jaguars.

Sleepers: Christian McCaffrey vs. NO and Chris Carson vs. TEN
Wide Receivers
Start: DeSean Jackson @ MIN
After coming off a game with only 3 catches for 39 yards, I expect a big bounce back from DJAX. Minnesota’s top CB Xhavier Rhodes held Michael Thomas to 5 rec, 45 yards in Week 1 and Antonio Brown 5 rec, 62 yards in Week 2 and will now face Mike Evans. This should free up DJAX and set him free for a good game.
Bust Alert: Sammy Watkins vs. SF
When I think of Sammy Watkins, I think of explosiveness and high upside but in reality, he’s been over rated. He ended up in the worse situation offensively and so far he’s off to a horrible start. Watkins has yet to pass 60 yards in a game this season and I expect that streak to continue this Thursday. Sit that boy down for sure.
Sleepers: Rashard Jennings @ IND and Devin Funchess vs NO
Tight Ends
Start: Jack Doyle vs. Browns
This was suppose to be Andrew Luck’s security blanket but has turned out to be Jacoby Brissett’s main target since Luck is still out. Jack Doyle saw 8 targets Week 2 and the Browns have been torched so far like marshmallows over a campfire by tight ends. I picked him up myself on waiver wires to plug him in. At home, vs Browns, check down magnet and red zone target? Gidddddy up.
Bust Alert: Jesse James @ CHI
After a 2 TD performance Week 1, he was picked up by many off the waiver wire in hopes he can could continue his good start. Well, that didn’t happen and I’m here to say it won’t happen. The Bears defense is better than most realize and them being at home this week is going to be a problem for Jesse James. Don’t see more than 5 targets, 3 catches and 35 yards 0 TD for James this week.
Sleepers: Eric Ebron vs. ATL and Ben Watson vs. Jaguars
Defenses
Start: Miami @ NYJ
Everything that was stated for why you should start Jay Cutler fits in why you should start Dolphins D S/T against the Jets. Always, always, always look to start a defense against a very bad offense. The Jets are one of the WORST offenses so this is too easy to plug in the Fins here.

Bust Alert: Washington vs. OAK
This is one of the highest point totals on the slate this weekend a.k.a. Shootout Potential so I’d completely stay away from the Redskins defense. Too many weapons on Oakland and aside from Josh Norman, their defense hasn’t looked that great.
Kickers
Start: Giorgio Tavecchio @ WAS
High point total, explosive offense vs sub par defense. Nuff said.

Bust Alert: Ka’imi Fairborn @ NE
Texans have one of the worst offensive lines in football and rookie QB’s do not fair well against Belichick. I see Houston having trouble moving the ball against Pats and therefore, lack of FG’s and extra point opportunities for Fairborn. Hit the waiver wire for another kicker.
Sleepers: Cleveland @ IND and Eagles vs. NYG
