Heat’s Norman Powell Selected to 2026 NBA All-Star Team

MIAMI, FL – The NBA announced tonight that Miami HEAT guard Norman Powell has been selected to the 2026 NBA All-Star Team. It marks his first career selection and the 12th different HEAT player to earn All-Star honors, including the 42nd time overall. Miami will now be represented in the NBA All-Star Game in 20 of the past 22 seasons. The 75th NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, February 15 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA.

Powell has started in all 43 games he has appeared in this season averaging a team-leading and career-high 23.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.16 steals and 30.7 minutes while shooting 47.2 percent from the field, 39.2 percent from three-point range and 84.4 percent from the foul line. He leads the team in points, field goals made, three-point field goals made, free throws made, double-figure scoring games, 20-point games and 30-point games, helping Miami average 119.7 points per game, the third-highest average in the NBA. The HEAT has recorded 13 40-point quarters this season, already the most for a single season in franchise history. Powell scored in double-figures in a career-long 35-straight games from April 8 of last year through January 6 of this season and registered 20 points in eight consecutive games from December 26 through January 6, the third-longest streak of his career. He connected on 35-straight free throws from December 21 through January 3, the second-longest streak of his career while also recording a 31 consecutive made streak from October 26 through November 7, his third-longest stretch. He connected on a career-high nine three-point field goals on January 4 and dished out a career-tying six assists on January 24. Additionally, Powell scored the 9,000th point of his career on January 17 vs. Oklahoma City.

Powell will be joined at All-Star Weekend with teammate Kel’el Ware who was named to the NBA Rising Stars event on Friday, February 13. It now marks the seventh consecutive season multiple members of the HEAT have been selected to participate during NBA All-Star Weekend.
