Miami Dolphins OLB Coach Ryan Crow Arrested for Battery

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Miami Dolphins offensive linebackers coach Ryan Crow was arrested this past Friday on a domestic battery charge. On Saturday, he bonded out of the Broward County Main Jail. The Dolphins assistant coach has been placed on administrative leave indefinitely.

What Occurred

Crow and a woman in her Fort Lauderdale apartment complex got into a heated argument around midnight Friday. Witnesses told detectives that the argument started over past relationships, before it turned physical.

She didn’t give police officers a sworn statement and claimed not to have any injuries. However, witnesses at the scene said she was choked and slammed.

Ryan Crow immediately stopped his actions once he saw that other people were observing, and he went back to his apartment.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys agreed to a $1,000 bond in court, in which Crow must not return to the apartment complex or consume alcohol.

“The standard thousand-dollar bond, placing the defendant on pre-trial release, with the special condition that he undergo a substance abuse evaluation … we would also include the conditions of no alcohol … and no victim contact,” the judge said.

At Mike McDaniel’s press conference this past Monday, he said, “We’re going to let the process play out — the allegations, we take extremely serious. Rule No. 1 for our team is protect the team … To be on a team, it’s a blessing that you have to have regard for things much bigger than yourself. Rule No. 1 is to protect the team for reasons such as that, and that one was violated.”

Crow, 37, joined the Dolphins in 2024 after working in the same role for the past three seasons with the Tennessee Titans. He has been employed in the NFL since 2018, with both Tennessee and Miami.

Senior assistant Sean Ryan will take Crow’s place as the offensive linebackers coach in the meantime.
