MIAMI, FL – FIU Football has announced that their homecoming opponent this upcoming season will be the Liberty Flames. That contest is scheduled for Saturday, November 15th at South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium.
This will be the third matchup between FIU Football and Liberty as Conference USA opponents. Back in 2023, the Liberty matchup was also the Homecoming game of that season, with LU winning by a score of 38-6.
Things were closer between the two programs last season in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Panthers forced an overtime thriller with the Flames coming out on top by a score of 31-24.

Since joining CUSA a few years ago, the Flames have been one of the top teams in the conference. With a Conference USA title and New Year’s Six appearance under their belt, they’re looking to reappear in the CUSA Championship Game.
As per usual, Homecoming games are elevated from the usual home game. FIU Alumni of all ages are welcomed back to MMC to root for the Panthers. This includes former players and coaches as well, with activities and events leading up to kickoff.
