MIAMI, FL – FIU Men’s Basketball is coming off of a historic 146-55 win against the Trinity Tigers only a few days ago. The team’s 146 points mark the most points scored in a single game in program history.

Jaidon Lipscomb is coming off of two straight games where he was in the double digits when it came to scoring. Against FAU, Lipscomb had 17 points shooting 5-7 from the three-point line.

Against Trinity, the junior put up a season-high 23 points and, again, shot 5-7 behind the arc.

This season, Lipscomb has a 54.5% FG3% and has a 63.3% FG%. He’s arguably the Panthers top shooter this season.

Against Trinity, nine Panthers entered double-digit points. Behind Lipscomb, Jayden Brewer has made a name for himself, usually being the first player to come off the bench for the Panthers.

This season, the sophomore guard has put up eight points a game with 51.4% FG%. Against the Tigers, Brewer had 18 points and was 7-8 from the field.

Brewer continues to be a factor on the defensive side of the ball, with one block and steal as well on Saturday.

The Stetson Hatters currently find themselves with a 6-5 record. The biggest win of the season was against the UCF Knights, who the Panthers opened up the season against with a loss.

Guard Jalen Blackmon has led the way for Stetson this season, averaging 22.1 PPG, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, and has been shooting 47.9% from the field.

Center Aubin Gateretse has been a threat under the paint, averaging 11.0 PPG, 7.2 REB, and is shooting 70.1% from the field.

Tip-off is scheduled for Tuesday at 7pm from the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
